Worry is something that we all experience. It could be about financial security, our future, security, relationships, or health.
Worry is that sense of insecurity, unease, and fear over what negative events may happen – as unrealistic as these concerns maybe – is one of the most unpleasant emotions that you can experience as a human being. It is also one of the most common. This can feel debilitating, overwhelming, depressing, worrisome, fearful, and angry.
What does this look like?
What does it look like for a kid?
So what can we do?
Be aggressive with self-compassion, self-care, and engage your body with movement. We all know moving creates happy hormones, in this time we need it more than ever. Get curious about what is going on, who is involved, what are the causes, what can you control, and what is out of your control, and what do you have to accept? This is so important.
How do we get past this?
We don’t- we get through it. Getting past, and getting over it, are band-aids. To truly heal, it will have to be worked through.
